I recently came across an interesting website. Its called The Unborn Child and the focus of the website is to allow pregnant women and their spouses, or couple’s who have previously had a child, to anonymously post their thoughts, cravings, rants, raves, etc…

The site appears relatively new as there is not much content, but being an expecting father myself, I can’t help but take notice when an interesting website dealing with pregnancies falls on my lap.

There are hundreds of web sites dedicated to providing information for pregnant couples. There are plenty of forum’s that couples can sign up for that allow them to interact with other couples expecting a child, so why is this site special?

It is not that I think the site is special, I think the site is unique. I can understand how there are some topics pregnant women do not want to speak about, due to embarassment, being scared, etc., so having an anonymous place to post those thoughts, I think, is creative.

Here are some recent posts that I saw:

When I was pregnant I wanted nothing more than to sleep. My work schedule was 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. By 6pm everynight i was always trying to get my husband to come to bed with me..i was just always tired and could never get enough sleep.

He was pretty patient with the whole thing.. can’t say i would be as understanidning if he was trying to get me to come to bed so early (without a good reason of course).

I am soooo excited to find out what we are having that I cant hardly take it. I am getting my ultrasound at 20 weeks to find out what it is and I have about 5 weeks to go. I havent bought anything baby related at all because I have been waiting to see what we have but once I find out, I think I’m going to go crazy buying all sorts of cute outfits and things. I also think I’ll feel more complete and be able to bond more with my baby knowing exactly whose inside my belly….

I remember vividly when I was pregnant I had a fierce craving for pizza- which would normally not been a problem, but it was 1am and I had burned the pizza in the oven- so I called the local pizza place which was closed- but someone happened to answer (maybe it was the pizza angel), and I was almost bawling my eyes out- needless to say he delivered a pizza and got a $40 tip, it was the best pizza I had ever eaten….

Well, I guess I am the first dad posting on this site

I am SO excited for our first baby. My wife, who posted about going crazy over the sex of the baby, has actually rubbed off on me. It kills me not knowing the sex of our child, but 5 weeks is a long time.

Everyday I go and kiss my wife’s belly, tell the baby I love you, but have no clue what it is.

Irregardless, I am so happy that God blessed us with a child, and whatever comes out, male or female, I will love unconditionally for the rest of my life.

I can’t wait….

I think the site has potential and I think it can be beneficial to parents expecting a child, so I wanted to give it some link love.
